about

Back in the early millenia, Al Lover (known back then as Blisterfist) & Philo had jobs. Service industry jobs. They decided to make an album with he concept based on the days of the week at those jobs. The only logical name for the duo was Blue Collar Rapfist, obviously. It was recorded in the ol' Mont Clare house. This is actually before the official inception of the Fist Fam, we were just a bunch of dudes in various rap groups, makin music for the fun of it. Aw yeah. Enjoy. Oh yeah, Philo made all these beats. Laura Weyl took the photo I used for the cover, which is not the original cover, but I can no longer find the original cover.

Philo currently performs with a full 8 piece band backing him, including a horn section composed with members of Empire Strikes Brass & Debrissa McKinney. ... more
